I know that Memorial Day on the calendar is over, but I am one who thinks Memorial Day should be every day.
I did not serve in our military. Basically my father would not allow me to (he was drafted during the Korean War mess). I guess “allow” isn’t the proper word. He didn’t want me to. In his mind, he was protecting me from what he had to go through I imagine. I honored his request.
I thank those that have served. Current, former, and those that never made it back home….
